State Primary Election is Tuesday September 4, 2018 Polling Location: Peru Community Center 3 East Main Rd. Polls Open: 7:00AM-8:00PM Deadline to Register to Vote in The State Primary is Wednesday August 15th by 8PM. A Voter’s Registration Session Will Be Held August 15th In the Town Clerk’s Office From 2:00-4:00PM & 7:00-8:00PM. Absentee Ballot Applications Are Available in The Town Clerk’s Office or Online At www.Sec.State.Ma.Us Deadline to Submit Absentee Ballot Applications is Friday August 31, by 5PM. The Application Can Be Brought into the Town Clerk's Office or Can Be Mailed to The Town Clerk At: Town of Peru, Town Clerk, 3 E. Main Rd. Suite 102, Peru MA 01235 If You Are Voting by Mail, You Should Be Sure to Submit Your Application in A Timely Manner. Please Allow Enough Time for The Ballot to Be Mailed to You and For You to Return the Ballot by Election Day. All Ballots Must Be Received No Later Than the Close of Polls on Election Day. If You Would Like to Vote in Person, You May Do So in The Town Clerk’s Office. In-Person Absentee Voting Should Be Arranged Ahead of Time. State Primary Election Information : If you are registered as a Democrat, you can only vote a Democratic Ballot. If you are registered as a Republican, you may only vote a Republican Ballot. If you are a registered Libertarian, you may only vote the Libertarian Ballot. If you are registered as Unenrolled (Independent), you may vote in the Primary. You will check in and the poll worker will ask you which ballot you would like to vote. After you have completed voting, you will automatically stay Unenrolled.
